================================================================= "THE BREEDERS CORNER"
In this section we hope to address some of the questions frequently asked by other breeders and customers. Here we will post links to websites that offer explanations, genetic testing, and other health clearances specific to ALL sizes of Australian Shepherds and Miniature American Shepherds. Please click on the links to read about them. All of these labs offer testing specific to this breed. With the technology available today there is no excuse for a breeder not to test their dogs. Some labs offer additional tests not listed. Many run specials. ALL OUR DOGS ARE TESTED! Every dog here is tested with Embark full breeder panel and Pawprint Genetics for CDDY IVVD cd/cd (ALL our dogs are negative)
--------------------------------------------------------------------- " SIZE! Does it matter? ABSOLUTELY!!! " MINIATURE AMERICAN SHEPHERDS over 12 months of age as recognized by AKC are as follows: Females 13"-17" Males 14"-18" MINIATURE AUSSIES & TOY AUSSIES registered with ASDR: Miniatures 14''-18" Toys 10''-14'' Here at Circle A Farm we have specialized in "Miniature" and "Toy" Australian Shepherds for decades. Now that some of our dogs are recognized by AKC as Miniature American Shepherds we have some that fall below the height parameters. For lack of a better term we call them "TOY" Miniature American Shepherds. Toys are still registered by AKC and eligible to compete in all venues except conformation classes.
